Livestock is a very important part of agriculture in southern Indiana. Our Superior Ag Feed Mill in Dale, IN was completed in June 2018, and functions as a regional hub for the production of animal feed products within our cooperative footprint.
With milling capacity of 3,000 tons per week, we manufacture complete feeds, concentrates and co-products, with delivery available directly to your farm. We also offer a wide range of bagged, bulk, and tote nutritional products, for pick-up or delivery anywhere in our service area.
Our team of expert nutritionists and mill operators are focused on the needs of commercial livestock producers. Nutrition safety and ingredient traceability are always top of mind, and our procurement specialists carefully select suppliers and test ingredient sources. The Dale Feed Mill is also fully compliant with the FDA’s Food Safety and Modernization Act (FSMA.)
FSMA Compliant
Our new state-of-the-art Feed Mill in Dale, IN was built in order to consolidate our three existing feed mill locations into one. The decision to close the existing operations was driven by the requirements to become compliant with the Federal Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). The new regulations concern the handling of nutrition for animals being held to the same quality and standards as human consumption. With the ages of our existing facilities, the cost to upgrade and meet the standards far exceeded that of the construction of a new facility.
FSMA is designed to prevent foodborne illnesses by following Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs) for animal food production. These practices cover all aspects of the mill operation, including a written food safety plan. This plan must include a hazard analysis and preventive controls, including process and sanitation controls, as well as corrective actions, verification and a recall plan.

Livestock Nutrition Products
The Dale Feed Mill manufactures our own line of products. We do have floor stock nutritional products available that do not require a minimum order, as they are frequently ordered products by numerous producers. For any products that are not floor stock require a minimum order of 1,000 pounds. Please contact our Dale Feed Mill or a Livestock Nutrition Sales Specialist to submit an order.
